Eat Well, Feel Better - an RA Friendly Diet
Developed in partnership with nutritionist Catherine Lin, MS, RD, and the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases

Chances are you've heard the phrase "an apple a day keeps the doctor away." And while there are no guarantees, medical experts agree on the importance of a healthy diet for everyone, including people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Likewise, maintaining a healthy weight should be a goal for everyone, but even more so for people with RA. Did you know that each step you take puts pressure of 2 to 3 times your body weight on some of your joints? Excess weight creates additional strain and can lead to increased joint pain, especially for people with RA.

Following a healthy rheumatoid arthritis diet may help you reach or maintain a healthy weight and avoid putting added strain on your joints.
